Family of Loten asked to pay for food and supplies prior to his transfer to Xiling

 Tibet Watch has learned that the family of the detainee Loten was asked to pay for the food, needed during his transfer to Xiling City, as well as the cost of a cup and plate he would require at the re-education training centre.

Tibet Watch has learned that Rinchen Kyi had not been diagnosed with any illness after the Chinese authorities forcefully took her to a hospital in Xining City last year.

Brothers detained in eastern Tibet on unknown charges

Tenzin Norbu and Wangchen Nyima, a pair of brothers from Neneng Monastery in Drago County, were arrested on 15 August 2021. They continue to be held in a detention centre in Tawu County.

Tibetan student detained for expressing concerns about Tibetan language

On 12 December 2021, Chinese authorities and security personnel in Matoe County arrested Loten (བློ་བསྟན།), a college graduate student after he spoke in an online messaging group on WeChat, expressing disagreement with the policy of sinicization of the education system in Golog. He has been kept in a detention centre in Xiling (ཟི་ལིང་།) City.
